Garden consultation with report

A garden consultation with report gives you a solid grounding in how relevant permaculture concepts can be applied to your garden.

I come to your property and discuss your ideas and aims. This takes about 2 or more hours. We walk the property together, discuss your needs and any ideas you already have for your garden. This includes consideration of how all members of your household use the garden (even pets!), and how your future garden could best cater to everyone's needs.

Our discussion will also include some site analysis, such as looking at where the sun does and doesn't shine in your garden, water flows through your property and the characteristics of your soil. If needed, I can do some pH testing to ensure the soil is going to grow what you want it to. Every piece of land presents its own opportunities.

I am particularly excited about reducing the need for summer watering, so am always looking for ways to help my clients capture and store rainwater in ways that increase a garden's resilience in heatwaves. I believe we all ought to be able to go on a summer holiday without worrying that the garden will dry out while we're away!

Because there is so much information in permaculture, it can be hard to digest it all in one go. A report to summarise what we discussed and your next steps can be really helpful to many people.

In the day or two following the consultation, I will send you a 5 - 7 page report by email. Of course, please feel free to bring a notebook with you during the consultation as well, to note down any specific ideas, plant suggestions etc. as we go along.

Service summary:
  • 2 or more hours consultation time with you in your garden
  • We discuss your needs, analyze the site together, explore its potential
  • Soil pH testing if needed
  • Detailed follow-up report via email with summary of site, ideas discussed, tailored advice, and your next steps

Cost: $450 urban / $550 nearby rural
This covers 2 or more hours of consultation time with you, plus the time it takes to write up a report full of advice tailored to your needs.
Costs for rural properties reflect the greater complexity of rural properties, and the longer travel times involved. Nearby rural means within an hour's drive of Canberra. Please contact me for pricing for properties further afield than this.

Next steps
My services build directly on one another without additional costs. For example, if you decide after a consultation you would like to 'upgrade' to another service, you only pay the difference between the cost of the consultation and the cost of that service.
